Youth United

We are excited to welcome Youth United to our affiliate!
Youth United is a youth-led volunteer program that mobilizes youth ages 5-25 in Habitat for Humanity’s mission of eliminating poverty housing. Habitat for Humanity affiliates engage community youth through Youth United with education, advocacy, fundraising and building. Youth United creates a sustainable volunteer base through development of youth leaders who are advocates of decent, affordable housing.

The four tenets of Youth United

 • Foster teamwork among diverse groups of youth.

• Educate youth about Habitat’s mission through service, advocacy, fundraising and building.

• Encourage collaboration among Youth United members, the affiliate and local community

• Develop youth leadership through their actions and initiatives.

Our Youth United group meets monthly and get involved as leaders, planners, press agents and fundraisers. Youth ages 16 and older can work on the construction site to help build the homes they are advocating for. The members come from all over the community and are dedicated to making a difference in our community. For more information or to get involved, contact Brit at
